key tip for shoes
Sometimes gel padding makes the toe box too tight. Here’s my favorite tip ever! When I used to race on an alpine ski team, our ski boots had to fit perfectly so we did a lot of surgery on them. Here’s what you do: put on your shoe, boot etc.. and walk around for a while. Take them off and put red lipstick on exactly the part of the balls of your feet that hurt. Then put your shoe back on so the lipstick transfers to that part of the shoe. Now cut out a small piece of gel padding and double stick it there. It will give you cushioning exactly where you need it.
