Ladies and gentlemen, let me enlighten you on the immense achievements that we, the esteemed faculty of the University of Nigeria Centre of Excellence for Clinical Trials (UNNCECT), have accomplished in just one day.

Yesterday was a monumental day for us as we received awards from the Directorate of Research & Publications of the College of Medicine, UNN. And if that wasn’t enough, we also had the privilege of being selected as a Clinical Trial Site for a Major Drug Clinical Trial. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, led by the illustrious Prof Chief Ifeoma Ulasi, a globally renowned Nephrologist.

But wait, there’s more! The publication of the Universal Guidelines for Management of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) was also released yesterday, with Prof Ulasi being recognized as one of the major contributors. This is a significant achievement for our institution and a reflection of the expertise and excellence that our team brings to the field of research and clinical trials.

It is truly a cause for celebration and gratitude to see our efforts being recognized on such a grand scale. To have Prof Ulasi as our Pi, leading the way as the Country Lead for this Major Drug Clinical Trial, is a testament to her leadership and expertise in the field of Nephrology.

The impact of these achievements goes beyond just the walls of our institution. It has the potential to transform the landscape of healthcare and improve the lives of countless individuals suffering from chronic kidney disease. The Universal Guidelines for Management of CKD will serve as a valuable resource for healthcare professionals around the globe, providing them with the knowledge and tools needed to better care for their patients.

This is a monumental moment not only for our team at UNNCECT but for the entire medical community. It is a shining example of what can be achieved through hard work, dedication, and collaboration. We are proud to be at the forefront of groundbreaking research and clinical trials, pushing the boundaries of medical science and striving for excellence in patient care.

As we reflect on this momentous day, we must also recognize the unwavering support of our colleagues, partners, and supporters who have helped us along this journey. Their contributions have been invaluable and have played a crucial role in our success.

In conclusion, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone involved in making this day possible. We are humbled by the recognition and honored to be a part of such groundbreaking work. Our achievements yesterday have set the stage for even greater accomplishments in the future, and we are excited to see where this journey takes us next.

So let us raise our glasses, dear colleagues, and toast to a bright future filled with innovation, collaboration, and success. The best is yet to come!

God be praised for our victories yesterday, and may we continue to strive for excellence in all that we do. Thank you.
