Emma Watson, one of the faces of modern-day feminism, is pretty excited about International Women’s Day. The Beauty and the Beast star posted a selfie on Twitter to give her followers a peek at how she’s celebrating the holiday.
“Today I’m a red-striking ninja book-fairy out to spread some wise women’s words,” Watson tweeted. In the photo, she’s clad in a bright red knit sweater and matching beret (a chic touch) while holding a copy of My Life on the Road by feminist trailblazer Gloria Steinem.

The book is a reference to the actress’ recent habit of leaving novels in unexpected places for people to find and enjoy. With this pic, which she snapped in the back of the car, it seems like she might be on her way to hide a few more. Watson hinted last night that at starting at midnight today, she and other “book fairies” would be leaving works by female authors in various cities around the world.
She announced last night on Twitter: “From midnight NYC time, book fairies around the WORLD will start hiding feminist books to mark #IWD”
