Tyler Perry is one rich dude indeed but we can’t seem to understand why. We are yet to watch one good movie from this extremely woke producer.

Yet in reality The Family That Preys is Tyler Perry’s shameless attempt to make a cinematic soap-opera, and if you go by what soap operas are known for melodrama and basically over acting this one eats the cake!
I once sat through a stand up routine at a comedy club and instead of the comedian making me laugh I felt more of an uneasy, uncomfortable feeling. I had a similar experience sitting through “Tyler Perry’s The Family That Preys.” The contrived plot, predictable story and almost amateur acting all contributed to this really bad movie.
The ownership of a construction company binds two multi generational families together and when a torrid affair occurs the sparks supposedly fly. This is simply a story told poorly. Even Kathy Bates, who is no slouch as an actor, plays an unrealistic role.
