Dean Schneider is a 27-year-old Swiss Slaylebrity, who not only left his well-paying job but also sold all his belongings to move to Africa to be with wild animals. This move from the lap of luxury in Switzerland into the African animal kingdom amply proved his dedication to protect wildlife. Of course, he’s so right when he says, “We only protect what we love.”

Dean Schneider currently has over 5 million social media fans around the world.

He describes himself as a member of a lion pride, a husband to a hyena and a daddy of two monkeys.

Born in Switzerland (Zurich) on October 3, 1992, he was blessed to grow up in a loving family with his sister (one year older) and his parents, who were always very supportive and loving. His mother is originally from the Balkan region (Southeastern Europe), while his dad is a Swiss citizen. He discovered his deep passion for wildlife at the age of six or seven, through the legendary Steve Irwin! He was the one who brought wildlife into his living room in Zurich and inspired and educated him about all kinds of different animal species.

Even though he was so passionate about animals, He originally followed a very ordinary path to adulthood, eventually ending up in the finance industry as a financial advisor. After a very successful year, He decided to found his own company, which then, over the next three years, allowed him to generate the financial foundation to launch the Hakuna Mipaka project at the age of 23-24.

After starting his life in South Africa with additional financial support from his Family he evolved and developed the Hakuna Mipaka Oasis for 2 Years without having to depend on any income sources such as offering touristic visits / programs, breeding or traiding of animals, dontations or any other monetary businesses! Now after 2 Years and lots of investments and work He has finally launched the Donation Program with the Dean Schneider foundation and different other income sources are about to be launched in the next few Months / Years!

His mission is to bring animals into people’s hearts. He wants to inspire and educate people all around the world about the beauty of the animal kingdom, because He believes that we humans protect what we love. We can only love what we know and with whom we are emotionally connected! This is step number one!
