Although thousands of people attended President Barack Obama’s Farewell Address in Chicago on Tuesday night, there was one person who was noticeably missing from the crowd: his younger daughter, Sasha Obama.
Shortly after the president began his rousing remarks, the internet was quick to notice that Sasha was seemingly MIA from the event because she wasn’t sitting with her mother, First Lady Michelle Obama, and older sister, Malia Obama, in the crowd. Before long, #WheresSasha began trending on Twitter — with many offering their own takes on why the 15-year-old was unable to attend.

While her parents have yet to release an official statement on the matter, CBS News’ Mark Knoller later tweeted out that a White House official confirmed the reason Sasha was unable to attend the event was because she had a test at school on Wednesday morning back in DC, and couldn’t fly out to Chicago without getting back home ridiculously late.
But because that’s just far too practical of a reason, here are a few of the internet’s best guesses (and reactions) to Sasha’s realwhereabouts.
