Always thankful …
Laughter Is My Formidable Secret to Looking Amazing at 69 Going on 70
They say laughter is the best medicine, but I believe it’s also the best beauty treatment. For the past six decades of my life, laughter has been my constant companion and my reliable remedy for stress, pain, and anything unpalatable. And now, as I’m turning 70 soon, I can confidently say that laughter is my formidable secret to looking and feeling amazing at my age.
First, let me clarify that I’m not a beauty expert or a Hollywood starlet. I’m just a Slaylebrity woman who has lived through a lot of ups and downs, joys and sorrows, in the past 69 years. I’ve faced health issues, financial struggles, family conflicts, and societal pressures, like many of you. But one thing that has kept me going and glowing is my sense of contentment.
I inherited my thankful contentment gene from my parents, who were both thankful. They taught me that even in the darkest moments, there’s always something to smile about, whether it’s a silly joke, a funny story, or a whimsical observation. They also showed me that laughter can be a bonding force among people, as it breaks down barriers and builds rapport.
As I grew up, I realized that laughter not only made me feel good, but also made me look good. When I laughed, my face lit up with joy and energy. My eyes sparkled with mirth and warmth. My lips curved into a natural smile that added radiance to my complexion. Even my posture improved, as I stood taller and more relaxed.
I also noticed that laughter had a ripple effect on others. When I laughed, others around me tended to smile, chuckle, or join in. It created a positive vibe and an uplifting atmosphere, wherever I went. It made me feel more confident, attractive, and lovable. It made others see me as approachable, friendly, and fun.
Over the years, I’ve encountered many situations where laughter saved the day. When I was going through work drama, I found solace in watching comedies and hanging out with funny friends. When I was diagnosed with knee issues, I used humor to cope with the fear and ended up not having surgery.
All through the past 15 years i’ve focused on being thankful and giving back to society with my time.
When I travel, I make it a point to try the local humor and appreciate the cultural differences.
Now that I’m in my late 60s, I can say that laughter has played a big role in keeping me youthful, vibrant, and sharp. It has helped me stay healthy by boosting my immune system, reducing my stress levels, and lowering my blood pressure. It has enriched my relationships by fostering trust, intimacy, and happiness. It has opened new doors of creativity, curiosity, and learning. It has given me a reason to wake up every day with a smile and a purpose.
So, if you’re looking for a simple, inexpensive, and effective way to enhance your beauty and your well-being, try laughter. Watch a funny movie, share a joke with a friend, find humor in a challenging situation. Laugh at yourself, laugh with others, and laugh for no reason at all. Let laughter be your formidable secret to looking amazing at any age, and see how it transforms your life.

TOPIC: WHERE IS THE PLACE TO LAUGH?
Even if there is nothing to laugh about, laugh on credit. The Bible says that a merry heart is like medicine to the body. An average person laughs thirteen times in a day. Don’t be average! Laugh more often, and if you laugh less often in a day, you probably are at the brink of death or emotional collapse due to stress.
God created the family to provide you the opportunity for emotional releases. The best place to laugh is with members of your spiritual or natural family. Doing so outside your family network should be with care lest you find yourself laughing at the behest of a mortal enemy. The gift of laughter is one of God’s freest gifts. Ask Him for a larger dose of it today. If you have nothing to laugh about, laugh at your enemies. The first time God laughed in the Bible was at His enemies. Now, find a quiet place and practice for 60 seconds. Roar thunderous laughter. It’s your gift. Use it well!!
“He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh: The Lord will have them in derision” (Psalm 2:4).
Daily Task:
Laughing constantly is one of the best ways to keep yourself away from sickness, stress, and wrinkles. Make it a point of duty to laugh constantly today.
