Her rumoured new romance with Drake has reportedly ruffled feathers with his fellow Canadian artist and her ex The Weeknd.
But Bella Hadid, 21, looked in good spirits as she stepped out for dinner with pals in Rome, Italy, on Friday night.
The American model, who is in the city to to star in a commercial for Bvlgari jewels, worked geek chic to perfection in edgy attire.
Covering her pretty face with a pair of seemingly prescription-free aviator glasses, she accessorised with a hoop earrings, wearing her raven hair in a sleek bun.
Accompanied by a small entourage, Bella commanded attention in a brightly patterned t-shirt teamed with a checked blazer and flared jeans.
And with the addition of a pink clutch bag and brightly coloured sandals, Bella was sure to turn heads as she made her way to dinner.
Meanwhile rumours are now swirling that Bella is enjoying a romance with rapper Drake after he planned a 21st birthday bash for her over the weekend.
‘He planned it and paid for everything,’ a source told UsWeekly after the supermodel and a group of pals gathered at Socialista lounge in New York for the bash.
When asked about whether Drake splashed the cash for Bella’s birthday, her mother Yolanda played coy replying: ‘He did, really? I didn’t know that? I don’t…They’re friends.’
And a source has told Page 6 that the rumoured romance has caused a rift between the Drake and her ex The Weeknd, both born in Canada, who share mutual friends in their home town.
‘They both hang in the same Toronto crew and now they’re having to pick sides,’ an insider claimed.
‘The Weeknd performed and people on Drake’s side were like, ‘I can’t show up to that . . . Got to have allegiance. They aren’t getting along right now . . . The groups are beefing because [Drake] broke the bro code. They 100 percent hooked up.’
The Weeknd, who is now dating Bella’s former friend Selena Gomez, was born in Toronto in 1990 and raised in Scarborough, Ontario.
Drake, born Aubrey Drake Graham, was also born in Toronto but in 1986; he was raised in the Western end of Toronto and later in Forest Hill.
Bella and the Weeknd – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye – first started dating in May 2015 but their romance was short lived as they split that December.
However, there was clearly still chemistry there as they decided to give their romance another go before calling it quits for good in November last year.
Just a few weeks later, Bella walked in the 2016 Victoria Secret Fashion Show in Paris York while her ex performed onstage and there appeared to be no animosity.
But the Reminder hitmaker was then spotted locking lips with Selena at the beginning of 2017 and the pair have been inseparable ever since – leading to Bella unfollowing both her ex-partner and her former friend on every social networking site.
