If you told me years ago that I’d be legitimately interested in seeing a Barbie movie, I’d have laughed in your face. And yet, here we are.
I cannot stop laughing, and I am impressed by the choice to have her dressed up as the original Barbie Doll ….
I was not expecting to be hyped for this but the 2001 parody was immaculate, plus the Helen Mirren voiceover – I’m sold.
I love that all the buildings are just Barbie doll houses. All open and everything. They didn’t have to do that, but they did.
I’ve always said no idea is a bad idea for a movie if that idea is executed right by someone who understands how to bring it to life, and this seems to prove it lol
