Baked Apple Alaska @tastemade_japan⠀
INGREDIENTS:⠀
2 apples⠀
2 tbsp granulated sugar⠀
20g butter⠀
vanilla ice cream⠀
brandy⠀
STEPS:⠀
Cut off the very top portion of the apples and scoop out the insides with a spoon, leaving the sides and bottoms intact.⠀
Transfer apples to a baking dish. Put butter inside the apple holes and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Microwave for 6 minutes at 600 watts. Keep in the refrigerator until completely chilled.⠀
Beat egg white for a few minutes. Add in the granulated sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks. Transfer beaten egg whites into a piping bag.⠀
Once your apples are completely chilled, take them out and place a scoop of ice cream inside the apples. Pipe the beaten egg whites on top and using a torch, crisp up the egg whites until nicely browned in places.⠀
Warm up your brandy and pour over the baked apples just before serving.⠀
