During the annual lighting of the White House Christmas tree this year, President Donald Trump made good on his promise to bring “Merry Xmas” back to America. He then doubled down by referring to Jesus Christ as “God” and “our lord and saviour”. As the economy continues to soar and Hillary continues to sour, it’s difficult not to be a little hopeful this advent. At the very least, we can all agree that our situation as Catholic Americans could be a lot worse this Christmas. Thanks Mr President. Merry Xmas indeed!
