Naomi Campbell has been tapped for a recurring role on Fox series Star, created/executive produced by Lee Daniels and Tom Donaghy.
Set in Atlanta, Star revolves around three talented young singers (Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny and Brittany O’Grady) who navigate the cut-throat music business on their road to success. The series, whose pilot was directed by Daniels, will feature original music, along with musical fantasy sequences, as the girls dream of their future. Its cast includes Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt and Nicholas Gonzalez.
Campbell will play Rose Spencer, the beautiful, wealthy and cultivated London-born mother of Alexandra (Destiny). Amiyah Scott also stars. The series will also feature guest star and Grammy Award winner Lenny Kravitz.

Campbell, one of the five original supermodels, has appeared in countless films and TV series during her carer, including Fox’s hit series Empire, police drama New York Undercover, Spike Lee’s Girl 6, McG’s Fastlane, Miami Rhapsody, The Cosby Show and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Campbell executive-produced and was featured on the reality modeling competition series, The Face. Additionally, she appeared in Madonna’s “Erotica,” Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” and Michael Jackson’s “In The Closet.”

Star is a production of 20th Century Fox Television in association with Lee Daniels Entertainment. Lee Daniels and Tom Donaghy are the creators and executive producers. Pamela Oas Williams and Effie Brown also serve as executive producers. Charles Pratt will serve as showrunner for the series.
