🫅🏽Theme – *”Investing in Women: Accelerate progress”*

🌹The International Women’s Day which falls annually on March 8th (my birthday), has become *a global event which celebrates women’s achievements, struggles and their right to gender equality* .

🌸Women overtime, have been known to play several roles in which they have faced discrimination, exclusion, oppression and gender inequality. *So, a day like this comes around once a year to say to all women no matter their status in life and geographic location, that they are remembered and honoured.*

🌻This year’s theme couldn’t be more apt👌. It’s not just about giving Women a seat at the table. *It’s about creating an environment where they can thrive and succeed. It’s about challenging the status quo and dismantling the barriers that have held them back for centuries. It’s about empowering women to take control of their own destinies and to pursue their ambitions without fear of discrimination or backlash.*

♦️ *When we invest in Women, we invest in education* – Women who receive quality education are more likely to break the cycle of poverty, have healthier families, earn higher income and contribute to their communities.

♦️ *When we invest in Women, we invest in the economy* – Studies have shown that countries with better gender equality have higher GDPs.

♦️ *When we invest in Women, we invest in health* – improved access to healthcare will significantly reduce maternal and infant mortality.

♦️ *When we invest in women, we are tapping into a vast reservoir of talent, creativity, and innovation that has been underutilized for far too long.*

💐 *When we invest in Women we are investing for a brighter future.*
