Then u have the literal juxtaposition of the grit and grime of the cement block with the pastoral landscape of the painting, which plays on that idea of the nature of art.

The level of detail is impressive, down to the mud splatter on the wall.

I think ultimately it’s an exploration on the brutal creative process, that is the invariably grimy, visceral, industrial process by which art is created.
