I am so chill right now!
Sasha was recommended to me by my previous massage therapist, who moved to another state. I managed to grab a late appointment, the last of the night. I love when I can get a late massage. Then I can go home all relaxed and chill, crawl into bed, and get a great night’s sleep.
Sasha was perfect. She had just the right touch for me. Truth to tell, she was even better than the therapist who recommended her. She was just what my poor aching muscles needed.
Not only was the massage great, but we also got along like crazy. We chatted a little during the massage and I found out that she was a poet. The fact that I was also a writer gave us a fun connection and things to discuss.
We enjoyed each other’s company so much that we sat on the massage table chatting after the session.
When I looked at my phone, almost an hour had passed.
“Oh, shit!” I exclaimed. “I need to get home. My wife will be wondering where I am.”
“Ah, so you are married, then,” she said. “Too bad.”
I chuckled. “Does that mean we can’t talk anymore?”
“You’re not wearing a ring.”
“Yeah, I gained some weight and it became uncomfortable. I have to get it resized one of these days.”
She smiled. “Well, I really would like to talk more but you have to go home and I have to lock up. I’m the last one here.” She shared the space with other therapists. “Would you like to make another appointment before you go?”
“I’m not sure of my schedule yet. Can I call?”
“Of course,” she said. “Give me your phone. I want to give you my mobile number so you can call me directly.”
I gave her the phone and she started putting her information in. As she did, she said, “Feel free to text. Even if you just want to chat.” She handed it back to me. “Or if you’re feeling lonely.” Her flirty smile made her meaning clear.
For the next two weeks, I resisted every urge to message her. The fact that it was a busy time helped. But she was such an interesting woman. And did I mention she was beautiful? Yeah. That didn’t help.
