Did the Weeknd send Gigi Hadid a birthday gift?

Yesterday, Gigi Hadid thoroughly documented her 22nd birthday celebration, along with all the gifts she received. She tagged Taylor Swift, Karlie Kloss, and then, in one shot, gave a “thank you” to someone named Abel. One Abel we know Gigi was close with is Abel Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd, Bella Hadid’s ex-boyfriend. He and Gigi still follow each other on Instagram, even after both Bellaand The Weeknd unfollowed each other.

He’s also the only person with the first name Abel who Gigi follows on Insta:

Gigi’s friendship with Abel hasn’t caused any drama between her and her sister. During H&M’s fashion show in March, where Bella had to face her ex who was performing, Gigi was right by her sister’s side giving her extra support.

And Bella yesterday posted a very sweet Instagram tribute to Gigi. “Happy birthday to my best friend FOR F**king LIFE!!!!!!!!” she started. “My role model! My person. I feel so lucky every day to call you my sister….Thank you for always being yourself, nothing more and nothing less. You are my other half & I don’t know what I would ever do without you. I love you with all of my heart Squeegee.”
