As the sun began to set over the picturesque seaside town, I found myself strolling along the vibrant promenade. The salty breeze caressed my face, carrying with it the faint scent of freshly baked pastries from a nearby café. Lost in thought, I replayed the events of the day over and over in his mind.
My husband and I have been together for six years now; we were both in our mid-30s when we got together and knew it was the best time for us to conceive a child, but after attempting to conceive for over a year, we found out that he was unable to do so.
Fast forward to a week after we found out. My husband had his best friend Lewis over, as part of their weekly meet-ups where he would come over to have a few beers and watch the football game together.
“Hey man, noticed you are a bit sad, what happened?” Lewis asked my husband.
They sat on opposite sides of the couch with me sitting between them, which made things awkward since they were talking about something very personal, but at least I didn’t feel left out. Neither one looked my way while they spoke.
I heard my husband say, “We tried everything under the sun.”
“What do you mean?” Lewis enquired.
“Me and Victoria found out a few days ago that my sperm is not good enough to impregnate her,” he said matter-of-factly.
Lewis let out an audible gasp, then turned towards me with concern etched all over his face. He reached across and took hold of my hand. My heart felt like it was going to pound right through my chest.
He squeezed my fingers tight before letting go of my hand.
“Do you want to talk about it?” he suggested.
My husband trying to ease the tension: “Unless you can make my wife pregnant, there isn’t anything you can do to cheer us up.”
His eyes flicked from me back to Lewis.
A look passed between them and suddenly they burst into laughter, which set me off laughing too.
It seemed to help relieve some of the pressure I’d built inside myself, knowing that no amount of worrying or fretting could change the situation.
I couldn’t help but feel a mix of excitement and trepidation.
Lewis shook Victoria’s hand hesitantly, feeling a strange surge of electricity pass between them. He couldn’t help but feel drawn to her, despite his better judgment. Sensing his apprehension, Victoria leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a whisper. “Lewis , I know if we do this it could change everything.”
She sensed his manhood bulging to attention
Oh, dear Lewis,” she purred, her voice dripping with mystery. “Let’s just say Mark and I are ready to get this sexy party started.”
