This show reminds me a lot of a line from the Great Gatsby
They smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was what kept them together and let other people clean up the mess they had made.
The White Lotus has been one of the most talked-about shows of the summer, with its dark humor and biting social commentary. But for many viewers, the season one finale was a major letdown, with its anticlimactic resolution and unanswered questions.
One of the biggest plot points in the finale was the revelation that Paula (Brittany O’Grady) had accused someone of sexual assault, resulting in their arrest. However, the show never revealed who she accused or how the situation was resolved. This left many viewers feeling frustrated and unsatisfied with the conclusion of the season.
It’s not uncommon for shows to leave loose ends or unresolved plot points, but in this case, the lack of closure felt particularly jarring. Paula’s accusation was a major part of the season’s storyline, and it’s disappointing that the show chose not to follow up on it in a meaningful way.
Another issue with the finale was the lack of a satisfying conclusion to the season’s overall storyline. While the tension between the guests and staff at the White Lotus resort had been building throughout the season, the final episode didn’t provide a satisfying resolution to the conflict. Instead, the finale focused on the characters’ personal dramas and left the larger story arc feeling unfinished.
The worst character was hands down Paula…she showed she would do even worse if given the same power as her peers which is the sad this fact can also be seen with Belinda who wants to help only if she has something to gain.
Overall, while the White Lotus season one was entertaining and thought-provoking, the finale was a missed opportunity to provide closure and resolution to the season’s major plot points.
