Salvatore Ferragamo has great bags, as does Celine, Cartier, and you can’t go wrong with the LV Epi leather. It’s so distinct yet understated. I also like my Hermes Fourre Tout. At a lower price point but excellent quality and warranty – Coach. I wouldn’t get the ‘C’ coated canvas, but their leather wears well. A really fun option is Gabs by Franco Gabriele.
The Alaia is still one of my favourite and so versatile! And personally despite not being as popular as it used to be (maybe even better so) a Givenchy antigona is still a classic for me, I love that the design is slightly edgier. I am planning to get a Delvaux, I find the design more elegant than a Valextra although price point is still steep for a not so mainstream brand, but yes luxuries brand are taking us a bit for a ride.
Having said the above nothing beats custom bags by independent brands if you really want to outdo everyone.
