The perfect storm: someone who used to earn $900 equivalent in Lebanon now earns less than $50 equivalent. Let that sink in!
Yo, what’s good my people? Today I gotta talk about some real messed up stuff happening in Lebanon right now. I’m talking about the serious economic crisis going on over there that’s leaving people with practically nothing. It’s so bad, that people who used to earn almost a thousand bucks a month are now barely scraping by with less than fifty measly dollars. And you know what’s the worst part of it all? The elites are just sitting on their high horses, totally unfazed by the struggle of the everyday folks.
It’s crazy to think that not too long ago, Lebanon was known for being one of the most developed and prosperous countries in the region, The switzerland of the Middle East! But now, the situation is completely flipped. The economic crisis has obliterated the country’s currency, leaving people struggling to even be able to afford basic necessities like food and medicine. I mean, can you imagine working your ass off every day, only to have your income decrease by over 90% in a matter of months? It’s a nightmare, and it’s happening to so many people in Lebanon right now.
Now, I ain’t gonna get too political on y’all, but I gotta say…it’s ridiculous that the elites are just standing by and watching their fellow citizens suffer like this. They’re the ones who have all the power, the ones who could actually do something to help ease the burden on the poor. But instead, they’re more concerned with maintaining their own lavish lifestyles, while the rest of the country falls apart.
Look, I know a lot of you might be thinking “well, it’s not like you have any personal investment in Lebanon.” And that might be true, but at the end of the day, we’re all humans, and we should all care about what’s happening to other humans in other parts of the world. It’s a tragedy to see an entire country in economic shambles, and the fact that the elites are so heartless as to continue to decimate the poor with useless policies is beyond despicable.
So, to my people in Lebanon… I see you, I hear you, and I’m sending mad love your way. Don’t give up hope, keep pushing, and know that there are people out here who are standing with you. And to the elites out there…well, I got nothing to say to y’all except that y’all should be ashamed of yourselves. Let’s all come together and work towards creating a better future for everyone, regardless of race, nationality, or economic status. Peace out.
