All throughout the summer where I live in Europe, large supermarkets switched off shelf-lighting, 50% of lights in the store and lowered the temperature of air conditioning from 12pm-3pm every day. Yet they were open throughout the lockdowns and were raking it in. I also heard that some producers have increased product prices, not because their costs have increased, but as prices are increasing everywhere, it would be a missed opportunity if they didn’t.🤔

…bought some granola bars yesterday. Same box as last year. Up 2 dollars, each bar was 1.47 oz, down from 4.0 oz last year. Shrinkflation to the max.
