HBO never disappoints when there is a wedding I guess

Not only did Logan meet his end, but it happened without any conventional narrative trappings attached to it. There was no climactic scene for him to say his final words. Instead, he just died on a flight to a business deal, trapped in a tube in the sky away from his children who he had alienated over many years. It was unhinging and reflected in all the great performances from the cast, though that is what death is. There is no way to prepare for it as it can just happen out of nowhere. Logan, while his ego made him into an imposing figure, just died without grandiosity.

But in the end it was obvious His children actually loved him that’s the bottom line.

Episode 3, “Connor’s Wedding” is one of the greatest episodes in television history! Sarah, Jeremy, and Kieran all deserves Emmys! This final season is going out on such an incredible high note! PEAK TV IS HERE!

Shiv reverting mentally into acting like a little girl saying “Daddy…” as Logan died is one of the most powerful scenes of TV I’ve ever seen. I felt genuine sadness for a terrible, manipulative character because underneath all of that, he still was their father even while he treated them terribly. You could feel the kids’ pain because all they ever truly wanted was love. Sarah, Jeremy and Kieran better clean up at every award show for this.

I cannot express what a brilliant move it is to focus on the bulk of the season on the aftermath of Logan’s death. Fantastic writing and planning. We have no idea what to expect and it’s so exciting.
