Expect 2 hours of time waste
I think JLO is a good actress and was good in The Mother. Unfortunately one good actress cannot carry a movie, the script lacked originality and was predictable.
I’m JLO’s defence she puts in the work you can literally see it! She’s beat all odds that many can’t do In Their 50’s ! She’s talented and she’s works hard.
It was just not enough to save the move at one point I thought it was a comedy😂😂😂 her co-star couldn’t keep up with her without getting beat up or stabbed while she overwhelms everyone and everything… let’s not forget she just glosses over the fact that she didn’t know who the father of her daughter was.
This movie had so much potential, but the reality is this another movie with lazy writing and a protagonist that has nothing to overcome. Everything just “happens” to progress the plot, it feels like there’s no obstacles just the next step the protagonist takes to get to the end of the movie.
There’s so many cuts that doesn’t let you get invested into what the protagonist does. And the sad reality is there’s ms Lopez and her daughter, no other characters to develop the plot, cause there’s nothing to invest in other than who ms Lopez is gonna kill next.
Yet somehow this movie made it to No 1 on Netflix just goes to show that taste is lacking in most humans.
