First Mercedes-Benz unveiled a golden fleet at the Cannes Film Festival and now this: the GoldStorm Mercedes-Benz G-Class wide body kit by tuner German Special Customs (GSC). Black has long been a popular color choice for the G-Class, so this golden Gelandewagen should definitely raise eyebrows (and sear eyeballs).
GSC’s “tuning program” ditches the signature round headlights for rectangular units. Other significant modifications to the front end include a new lower bumper, grille, and multi-vented hood. At first glance this G-Class appears to be lowered, but it’s nothing more than the custom, wide fenders that also conceal much of the wheel well. Out back, GSC has added round, LED taillights and turn signal indicators, a new bumper, and quad-tip exhausts.
GSC didn’t provide details or images of the interior, so perhaps it’s been left untouched to provide some reprieve from the bright exterior. GSC’s powertrain modifications are unclear as well, but the donor car’s rear-exiting exhaust suggest this could be a G550. GSC will likely have a modified side skirt to accommodate the side-mounted exhaust tips for AMG models.
Estimated Price: from $250000 TO $500,000
