I feel like big wigs be like ‘what should we call our new fee so people won’t be mad?’
I’d be interested in knowing how many “handmade” businesses, truly hand made, not POD or supply sellers but actual artists sell on Ebay? Etsy has been a love/hate relationship for years in artist circles.
Etsy let in a ton of Chinese seller to undercut actually handmade businesses
Amazon makes 140 times more than etsy, That’s crazy, considering that there are that many less sellers on Amazon!
My shop is in the top 1% seller. I almost broke 6 figures for 2021. I have seen ZERO increase in sales since etsy increased fees for marketing. As a matter of fact, sales have decreased. Between listing fees, sales fees and shipping fees, etsy is sucking sellers dry. I dont understand how they dont see chasing sellers off the platform decreases revenue in the long run
As far as Etsy goes, they just keep rolling down hill. But as long as people are going to keep working hard and continue to net next to or less than half of their worth, Etsy will continue on with robbing them and make them jump through fiery hoops in the process.
Sometimes, it’s not about just doing it. Sometimes, it’s about saying no. Enough is just that…ENOUGH.
Eventually, Etsy will be taking 80-90% of your worth and there will still be many telling Etsy to light up those hoops.😵💫😒😔
