It’s laughable how people get so trump like and Presidential when their children get a job with so called prestigious and larger than life organisations like the IMF. Little do they know they are applauding the indoctrination of their kids becoming agents for the destruction of their country. Greed takes over in the end and they sell their country in exchange for a fat pay check.
If you read the book: Confessions of on Economic Hitman, it gave insights as to how the CIA, the US State Department, the World Bank, IMF and WTO used strategies like Operation Condor to destroy self sufficiencies of countries, regime change and distabilization of countries. Yes the countries are sovereign but when the leaders are compromised, these organisations capitalise on it. If you resist, then venezuela or cuba will happen to you, unless there is massive awareness of the masses about the meddling of foreigners.
