SLEAZY SUMMERS The secret underbelly of the drug-taking, prostitute-using Arab playboys in London exposed after the tragic death of Sheikh Khalid Al Qasami.
DRUG-fuelled orgies, a revolving door of escorts at penthouse parties and supercars roaring down the streets of the world’s richest neighbourhood – welcome to the sleazy summers of oil-rich Arab play-boys in London.
Last year saw the tragic death of Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, 39, at his Knightsbridge home, amid reports of a wild sex and drugs party the night before.
While Sheikh Khalid had lived in the UK since he was nine, for many like him the lure of London is as much about leaving their comparatively conservative Muslim nations as a desperate desire to travel.
As temperatures soar in their native countries, Arab playboys from the United Arab Emirates flock to the UK capital and some of them can’t wait to indulge.
So while alcohol, drugs and sex outside marriage are the major taboos at home, once away from prying eyes everything is to play – and pay – for.
Many tourists from the Gulf region come to the UK purely to enjoy the sights and soak up the culture.
But some young men think nothing of splashing up to £40,000 a night on penthouse suites in the most exclusive London post codes, roaring down streets in their supercars – and ordering sex with models like most of us would get a takeaway.
It may sound like the ultimate lads’ holiday, but the seedy reality are lives blighted by drug addiction, men who are stripped of their royal titles by horrified parents and cash-hungry fixers lining up to present high-class hookers… for eye-watering fees.
One middleman, whose previous clients include Premier League stars, famous actors and musicians, told how Instagram has become a worldwide catalogue for sordid hook-ups.
‘One man spent £65k on an Instagram girl’
The fixer, who we are not identifying, reveals: “Ordering sex is as easy as ordering off Deliveroo.
“They see a girl they like. They send me her profile. And that’s it. It’s that simple.
“They find the girls either from their friends who have recommended them or because the girls are known to be in that business.
I’ll speak to the girl, give them a price, date and location and that’s it.
“Come June, business is booming. I’ve known one guy pay £65,000 to sleep with a girl he found on Instagram, he was that desperate for it.
“With social media it’s so easy. It’s like a who’s who sex catalogue for them to buy from.
“I charge 10 per cent for the fix-up and can earn around £20,000 in a good few weeks.”
In a series of astonishing revelations, our insider told how girls are collected like trophies to be shown off to pals, and exclusive clubs host sex-fuelled meet-and-greets to bring punters and girls together.
Most of the escorts pose as models on Instagram yet have never had a catwalk career. Others describe themselves as VIP event hosts.
They upload thousands of selfies of themselves in bikinis, lingerie and gym gear with some garnering over 10 million admirers online.
‘Girls attract super-rich like moths to a flame’
But their profiles are also used to snare big bucks from sex-hungry millionaires.
Our source adds: “They’re attracting the super-rich like moths to a flame.
“Girls carefully manufacture their own brands and a million followers are now worth a million pounds.
“Men from all over the world, want to hook up with ‘Instaglam’ babes. And that’s where I come in.”
Our source has been setting up sex sessions for the last two years, making as much as £5,000 a time – while the girls pocket four times that.
“Most of the wealthy Arabs guys, and I mean the truly rich, are discreet about their business and want girls bringing to their private rooms and homes,” he says.
Sex parties for over 36 hours’
As well as sex on tap, the fixer claims that drugs are equally sought after.
He adds: “I don’t get involved in direct deals, but the two go hand in hand. I know the guys who can deliver Class A drugs quicker than a takeaway.
“It’s not just cocaine or ecstasy these guys want anymore, mainstream American rap has popularised prescription downers such as Xanax and Valium.
“Mix in a Viagra or two and these sex parties can go on for well over 36 hours.”
It’s been reported that Sheikh Khalid’s death came after a drug-fuelled orgy, with staff at his Knightsbridge penthouse discovering his body on Monday morning.
Police are said to have found a quantity of Class A drugs, with a source saying: “There had apparently been a party where some guests were taking drugs and having sex.
“It is suspected that Sheikh Khalid may have died suddenly as a result of taking drugs.”
There is no suggestion the women at Sheikh Khalid’s party were prostitutes.
Sheikh Khalid’s father is the ruler of oil-rich Sharjah, the third biggest city in the United Arab Emirates.
This is not the first tragedy to hit the family, after Sheikh Khalid’s older brother, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, died of a heroin overdose at the family’s country estate in Sussex in 1999. He was 24.
For almost two decades, as the Arab region’s wealth from oil has rocketed, so the wave of young men from the region partying in the UK – particularly west London – has grown.
Tearaway children from rich families flock to the capital for the laid-back and liberal lifestyle, which is the polar opposite of their upbringings in Gulf nations.
Excess rules – these rich young Arabs think nothing of handing over £20,000 to ship their fleets of supercars to London, so desperate are they to show them off.
A dark underbelly
In fact they’re so rich fines often mean nothing too them, which is why locals’ complaints of illegal parking and engines left running did little to curb their behaviour. What’s a £1,000 fine to these guys, after all?
Especially when some playboys have been known to pay vehicle ‘chaperones’ to make sure nobody touches them when they’re parked on the streets of Mayfair.
That’s on top of the suites in hotels like Claridge’s which can cost as much as £3,000 a night, meals at top restaurants and the salaries of the legion of staff employed to make sure their ever whim is catered for.
So interior designers may redecorate their exclusive suites, pet specialists look after beloved animals – and shopping trips to stores like Harrods can run into the tens of thousands.
But as the tragedies of Sheikh Khalid and his brother show, nothing comes without a price.
In 2015, a Dorchester insider told how one Qatari guest booked three suites for him and his entourage at £40,000 a night.
In May that same year, millionaire Kuwaiti playboy Sultan Aldabbous was found dead in a private suite at the Dorchester.
Traces of cocaine, cannabis and date-rape drug rohypnol were found in the married man’s blood.
At home, alcohol, no strings sex and drugs are forbidden, with the Arab heirs risking prison or death sentences if they indulge.
Stripped of titles
Being exiled from their families is no idle threat either – one-time heir to the Dubai throne, Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was stripped of the title of Crown Prince by his father in 2008 because of his wild lifestyle.
A leaked diplomatic message revealed he was alleged to have killed an assistant – something which was never confirmed – but continued partying and was a regular on the Knightsbridge scene even after being ostracised.
Seven years later he died of a sudden and unexplained heart attack aged just 33.
And also in 2008 Farouk Abdulhak, the son of billionaire sugar magnate Shaher Abdulhak, fled to Yeman hours after Norwegian student Martine Vik Magnussen disappeared in London.
She’d been celebrating the end of her exams at a club in Mayfair and was seen leaving with Abdulhak, with her body later found buried under rubble in the basement of a London flat.
Martine had been raped and strangled.
Her death is still being investigated by police, who named Farouk as a suspect in July 2008.
The London fixer added: “The pound is weak and Middle Eastern currencies such as Dubai dirhams, Saudi riyals and Kuwaiti dinar remain close to US dollars – meaning it’s never been more attractive to visit London.
“The way people throw money about on booze, cars, sex and drugs is dangerous, of course.
“They’re addicted to the lifestyle. It may seem glamorous, but it has a darker side.
Young Arabs – or anyone from an oppressed upbringing – break free from the sheltered lives at home and lose control in London.
“Plenty of people can party hard and keep themselves in check.
“However, more and more are losing their grip. Nobody wants to see anyone self-destruct, because no matter how rich you are, no amount of money will ever buy your life back.”
