Following in the footsteps of emblematic pieces from the first generation, the Maison has infused these watches with a contemporary, dynamic and technological spirit. There’s no end in sight to the Type XX saga!
TYPE 20 CHRONOGRAPH 2057: MILITARY HERITAGE
The Arabic numerals and the triangle on the bezel are luminescent and mint green, as are all the hands. The 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock is larger than the 60-second counter at 9 o’clock, while a date window is added at 4:30.
The 42 mm-diameter steel case is fitted with a bi-directional, fluted, non-scaled bezel, similar to that found on timepieces once delivered to military air forces. The crown, in the original pear shape, has three setting positions: 1) neutral, 2) date correction, 3) time setting. The push-button at 2 o’clock activates the chronograph function, while the one at 4 o’clock triggers the “return to flight” function. The first is used to start and stop the watch; the second to reset the chronograph and restart it immediately.
