Banyumala Twin Waterfall is located high in the mountainous region of Bali.
It’s around a two hour drive from Canggu and 1 hour 30 from Ubud.
The drive is pretty straight forward and along the road in from Bedugul you’ll pass the popular Handara Gate, and the Slaylebrity-famous Wanagiri Hidden Hills.

Upon arrival at the parking area, it’s roughly a 20 minute trek down. There are a few sketchy bamboo stairs, and it can be tough on the way up! So probably not ideal for children.
We always choose to rent scooters, which start at around 50,000 IDR or $3.52 per day, and explore ourselves. However be sure to read up on our Renting A Scooter In Bali guide beforehand! If you’re looking for somewhere to rent scooters from you can book a trusted scooter rental here.
Another option is to rent a driver, which is pretty popular for day trips around Bali, and they start at around 500,000 IDR or $36 per day (8 hours). Here’s an easy link to book a private car with a driver for the day.
For those short on time, or that prefer everything to be organised for them, there are some awesome tours on Get Your Guide available to book in advance.

BEST TIME TO VISIT + TIPS
The best time to visit Bali is between April and October, the island’s dry season.
Munduk in particular is one of the most popular spots on the island for photographs. So it’s typically pretty crowded with tourists! However, as with anywhere in Bali the best time to visit is always earlier in the morning to beat the crowds!

WHAT TO EXPECT AT BANYUMALA TWIN WATERFALL
Beautiful parallel falls with an awesome swimming hole at the bottom.

Banyumala Twin Falls are becoming quite the hit in the North. With other popular spots such as Gitgit and Sekumpul just a short drive up, Banyumala is an ideal starting point for those staying in Munduk.
A slightly difficult trek down, through DIY bamboo trails, it’s certainly worth the effort when you reach the foot of the falls.

Two epic waterfalls separated only by the rocks holding them together, and a huge swimming hole at the bottom.
There’s plenty of space for all visitors to enjoy a swim in the crystal clear waters, and it’s ideal for jumping in and freshening off after the trek down.
Of all the waterfalls in the North, Banyumala Twin Waterfall are definitely worth the journey up to and this hidden paradise will surely be one to remember.
