Rich kids problems are very real…
Recently we saw Blue Ivy raise a paddle at a private auction to purchase $80000 super expensive jewellery.
Is this odd to you that a child of barely 10 is flexing this way?
I worked from 14yrs and had to pay for everything, including clothes, college (3 jobs & full course load), car, all living expenses starting when I was 17.
I have experienced sitting in a cold house in the dark, with an empty stomach. I’ve had to wait for my mum’s money to come into her bank account when I was kid, at midnight and walk over with her and my sister at half twelve at night to buy food. It had taught me to appreciate everything I have now. I hate food waste, and although I am thankful my nephew will never experience that, I am thankful that I did.
So grateful for all the resilience and skills that gave me! We don’t serve our kids by giving them everything. Then they value nothing, including themselves.
