My mom sent me this! We are Nigerian, the video she sent me on Whatsapp had Chinese and Vietnamese subtitles. My hypothesis is that this video has gone viral worldwide, probably between people above the age of 60! They all believed this was a real audition and might not know that this is a parody and that video editions like this exist. Same reason why this video is full of comments from people from many countries where the education is not the best, giving an opinion or unironically congratulating this guy thinking he is performing real tricks or tricking the people in the crowd with optical illusions on stage. I just started thinking that if there are people in the world with no access to as much information as younger people are used to in the western world, then it is very likely that people believe the same way a lot of fake media with better special effects that are not only intended for comedic purposes but are also covering other topics, even the serious ones. How easy will be (or is already) for some governments to manipulate this way entire groups of people.
