**🔥 YOU’RE MISSING OUT IF YOU DON’T READ THIS.– BWS ON CANCER, INSPIRE2LIVE, INEQUALITY, AND WHY WE NEED TO PROMPTLY ACT. NOW. 🔥**
Ladies and Gentlemen, let’s pull ourselves away from the typical shall we!
This isn’t another clickbait article about how turmeric cures cancer or some corporate boring piece about “sharing is caring.” No.
This is about **real life people**, dying **needlessly**, in real time, because they can’t afford a drug that already exists — a drug that’s sitting on shelves in rich countries like it’s nothing.
And if you think this doesn’t matter because it’s not happening to you or your family, then congratulations: you’re part of the problem. But guess what? You can also be part of the solution.
Let me tell you about **Inspire2Live (I2L)**.

### 🧠 WHO ARE THEY?
They’re the **patient’s voice in cancer**. And let me make this crystal clear: when they say *patient*, they mean **ALL patients**, not just the ones who live in Europe or America or have $10k in their bank account.
They’ve got **five top cancer scientists** advising them. They’ve got **30 members from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs)** telling them exactly what’s going on on the ground.
And what’s going on is this:
> People are being diagnosed with late-stage cancer, in pain, without access to treatment — and they die. Not because there’s no cure. Not because science failed. But because we failed.
—
### 💥 THE TRUTH IS UGLY
Professor Ifeoma Okoye from Nigeria said it best:
> “Every day, I watch patients walk into our cancer centres with more fear of the cost than of the disease.”
That should promptly break your heart**. These aren’t numbers. These are **human beings**. Parents. Children. Brothers. Sisters. People with dreams, families, lives.
And they’re told: “You can’t get this drug. It’s too expensive.”
In high-income countries, new treatments are available — sometimes even free. In LMICs? People are literally **paying out of pocket** for chemo, imaging, painkillers. And many can’t afford it.
Barbara Moss from the UK had Stage IV colon cancer. She was refused treatment by the NHS because it was too expensive. Her family paid. She lived. Without that money? She would’ve died.
Now imagine she didn’t have that money. Now imagine her name was Amina. Or James. Or Luisa. Or Kofi.
She dies.
Not because there’s no cure.
But because **we don’t give a hoot until it happens to us**.
—
### 🚨 WHAT’S THE PLAN?
Inspire2Live is not asking for charity.
They’re asking for **justice**.
Here’s what they want:
✅ Let poorer countries **manufacture generic versions** of patented drugs, under strict safety regulations.
✅ Let pharmaceutical companies sell these drugs at **90% less** in LMICs once they’ve been distributed in high-income countries.
✅ Create a system where **everyone benefits** — patients, governments, and even the pharma industry.
Yes, the pharma industry.
Because here’s the truth: **they’re not losing money**. They’re not selling in these countries anyway. The only cost is registration. That’s it.
And now they get to look good on **Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) indexes**, which investors care about.
So everyone wins.
Except the people who refuse to act. Those losers lose. Humanity loses. Lives are lost.

### 📉 80/20 RULE: IT’S NOT FAIR, IT’S NOT JUST, IT’S NOT ACCEPTABLE
Professor Mark Lawler put it bluntly:
> “How can we stand by and allow people to die needlessly, when a known cure is available?”
We accept that **80% of the world’s population** has access to only **20% of its medicine**?
Are you serious?
If you saw someone drowning in front of you and you could throw them a life jacket but chose not to — you’d go to jail.
But when it’s happening thousands of miles away, we scroll past it.
No more.
—
### 🌍 THIS ISN’T ABOUT POLITICS — IT’S ABOUT HUMANITY
WHO says there are **83 essential medicines for cancer**. Of those, 13 are patented.
They’re not available in Africa.
But guess what?
It worked for **HIV**.
When the world came together and made HIV drugs affordable in poor countries, millions were saved.
Why not do the same for cancer?
We know how to do this. We’ve done it before.
What we’re missing is **the will**.
And Inspire2Live is here to light the fire.

### 🗣️ CALL TO ACTION: STOP SCROLLING. START DOING.
Peter Kapitein, founder of Inspire2Live, said:
> “We are human. By nature, we should also be humane. Why shouldn’t we save lives?”
Exactly.
So here’s what you can do:
✔️ **Donate** — Your donation saves lives. It’s that simple.
✔️ **Share** — This post. Their mission. The facts.
✔️ **Advocate** — Talk to your leaders, your schools, your communities.
✔️ **Join** — Become a patient advocate. Be part of the movement.
—
### 🧊 FINAL WORDS
This isn’t woke.
This isn’t left or right.
This is **right or wrong**.
People are dying because of inequality.
We have the power to change that.
So stop watching Netflix. Stop doomscrolling. Stop pretending this doesn’t affect you.
It does.
Because if you wouldn’t want it to happen to your sister, your mother, your daughter — then it shouldn’t be allowed to happen to anyone else’s.
**Inspire2Live is doing something about it.**
Are you?
