**Why Would I Go to Another Country and Be a Peasant When I Can Be Queen in My Country?**

Let me tell you something right now—something they won’t teach you in school, something your broke uncle won’t admit, and something the Instagram influencers selling you dreams of “better life abroad” don’t want you to hear.

This is for all my brothers and sisters back home in Nigeria who are sitting there thinking that leaving this soil will somehow magically solve their problems. Let me break it down for you: **why would I go to another country and be a peasant when I can be QUEEN in my own kingdom?**

### The Grass Isn’t Always Greener on the Other Side—it’s Just Different Shenenigans

You see these people posting pictures of themselves in Europe or America, standing next to Teslas, wearing Gucci belts, and eating avocado toast like they’ve made it. But what they don’t show you is the 16-hour workdays scrubbing toilets, living paycheck to paycheck, and being treated as second-class citizens because of where they come from. They left everything behind—their families, their networks, their legacies—and traded it all to become someone else’s servant in a foreign land.

And let me ask you this: What kind of success is that? You leave your homeland, where you were born with roots deeper than any tree, where your name carries weight, where your family has built generations of influence, just so you can start over at the bottom of someone else’s ladder? That’s not ambition; that’s stupidity.

### Your Network Is Your Net Worth

Here’s the truth: **your network is more valuable than any 9-to-5 job that pays well.** Think about it. Who do you think gets ahead faster? The guy working his ass off in some random office overseas, trying to impress bosses who’ll never truly respect him? Or the woman staying put, leveraging her connections, building relationships, and creating opportunities within her community?

In Nigeria, you’re not starting from scratch. You already have a foundation. You’ve got uncles who know people, cousins who run businesses, friends who can open doors for you. These aren’t just “contacts”—these are lifelines. These are the people who will invest in you, believe in you, and help you rise without expecting you to bow down to them.

When you move abroad, guess what happens? All those connections disappear. You’re alone. No one knows your last name. No one cares about your story. You’re just another face in the crowd fighting for scraps while paying taxes to build someone else’s empire. Meanwhile, back home, you could’ve been running your own empire.

### Legacy Over Location

Let’s talk about legacy. Do you know what it means to have a legacy? It means having roots. It means knowing where you came from and using that foundation to build something greater. When you leave your country, you abandon that legacy. You cut ties with the history of your ancestors, the sacrifices they made, and the future they envisioned for you.

Starting fresh in another country doesn’t mean freedom—it means erasure. You erase your identity, your culture, your values. And for what? To chase a dream that was never yours to begin with? To live under someone else’s rules, speak someone else’s language, and play by someone else’s playbook?

No, thank you. I’d rather stay here, where I’m royalty. Where my name holds power. Where my presence matters. Where I can look around and say, *“This is mine. This is us.”*

### Breaking Free from the Scarcity Mentality

The reason so many Nigerians think fleeing is the answer is because of scarcity mentality. They look around at the challenges—the corruption, the infrastructure issues, the economic struggles—and they convince themselves there’s no opportunity here. So they pack their bags and run to places they think are better.

But here’s the thing: Opportunity isn’t a place—it’s a mindset. If you’re looking for excuses, you’ll find them everywhere, whether you’re in Lagos or London. But if you’re looking for solutions, you’ll create them wherever you are.

Nigeria has problems, yes. But it also has potential. It has resources. It has talent. And most importantly, it has YOU. Instead of running away, why not stay and contribute? Why not be part of the solution? Why not build something so big, so impactful, that people stop talking about how hard it is here and start talking about how unstoppable we are?

### Owning Your Throne

I’ll say it again: Why would I go to another country and be a peasant when I can be QUEEN in my own country? Because that’s exactly what you are when you choose to stay—you’re claiming your throne. You’re saying, “I refuse to settle for less than I deserve. I refuse to give up my power. I refuse to trade my dignity for a visa stamp.”

Being a queen isn’t about geography—it’s about mindset. It’s about owning your worth, embracing your roots, and refusing to let anyone make you feel small. It’s about recognizing that true wealth isn’t measured in dollars or euros but in impact, influence, and legacy.

So to my fellow Nigerians out there contemplating whether to leave or stay, let me remind you of this: You don’t need permission to succeed. You don’t need to cross oceans to find greatness. Greatness is already inside you. Stay here. Build here. Thrive here. And watch as the world starts coming to YOU instead of the other way around.

Because at the end of the day, queens don’t flee—they conquer. And trust me, darling, this is YOUR kingdom to rule. Crown yourself.
