Unless the invite says otherwise, wedding day calls for the most formal of dress.  State your presence-while remaining appropriate- in a lavish cocktail dress or gown with intricate embellishments.  Beading, ruffles, illusion; pump up the glam for a black tie celebration.
Still lost in the shuffle of styles?  Quick rule of thumb: Let the bride shine by avoiding white, ivory, or any other off-white shades, and veer away from any style that’s too short, tight, or uncomfortable.
