Ivanka Trump has made a name for herself selling clothing, shoes, accessories, and kids’ products aimed at working moms. But ever since her father’s campaign, and the statements he has made about women, there has been a movement to boycott not just her products, but stores that sell them. And it just might be working.
On Thursday, Nordstrom confirmed it was no longer selling her line “based on the brand’s performance.” Though the company insists it was merely a business decision, activists are claiming it as a victory of the #GrabYourWallet campaign, a movement to boycott stores that sell Trump family products. After that, it appeared that Neiman Marcus and Belk both quietly removed Ivanka’s products from their websites.

“Companies are now starting to understand if they want to do business with the most savvy women in the country, they’re going to have to show us they’re serious about moving away from divisiveness that the Trumps represent,” says Shannon Coulter, the co-founder of #GrabYourWallet. “It’s not a Democrat or Republican thing, it’s a basic human decency thing.”
Back in October, Ivanka responded to the boycott, saying, “My advocacy of women, trying to empower them in all aspects of their life, started long before this presidential campaign did. I’ve never politicized that message. People who are seeking to politicize it because they disagree with the politics of my father — there’s nothing I can do to change that.”
But there are many, many more stores that carry Ivanka Trump’s products, from her shoes to handbags to Republican Convention-ready dresses. Coulter says activists focused on Nordstrom at first because “they felt a connection to the brand,” and are now excited to go back and shop there. Now, Coulter says, they may focus on other brands they love, like Macy’s and Amazon.
And whether you want to keep buying her line or not, it’s interesting to see which stores stock up on her products. Take a look at the stores on #GrabYourWallet’s list that specifically sell Ivanka’s products—because all companies tied to the family would fill a much longer article.

Perhaps that’s why Bezos feels it’s worth standing up on immigration issues, but has been silent on Donald’s treatment of women.
