There is an enchanting atmosphere here in Sant’ Agata Feltria. The streets of the medieval village are filled with the traditional sounds of the shepherds or “zampognari” playing their bagpipes. Handcrafted nativity scenes are on display in stalls that fill the streets. Father Christmas’s house sits in the market square and his elves are busy preparing events for the children who visit. Two reindeer pull a sleigh driven by a real Laplander.
