Taylor Swift has found herself a new British beau. (Sorry, Tom Hiddleston.) The singer has been secretly dating actor Joe Alwyn, according to reports from Peopleand The Sun.
Swift, 27, and Alwyn, 26, have reportedly been seeing each other for months, The Sun reports. Apparently, she’s even made a few secret visits to London to see him, disguises and all. An anonymous source assured the paper that the couple’s newly-discovered romance is “the real deal” and “very serious.”

A “close friend” with the pair concurred, telling the site: “This isn’t a new couple alert or a secret relationship—the only people this has been a secret to is the media because all of us, Taylor and Joe’s closest friends and their families, were aware they have been together for several months and have known each other for a long time.

However, after the media storm Swift experienced last year—with her 1989 tour, feud with Kim and Kanye, breakup with Calvin Harris and fling (and subsequent split) with Tom Hiddleston—the new couple understandably wanted to lay low.

“After her 1989 tour and all the attention Taylor received, she learned she had to be more protective of her personal life and she and Joe decided early on to keep their private life private,” the friend added.

Alwyn is still a rising film star, but he’s previously appeared in Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk (2015) with Kristen Stewart and Vin Diesel, and The Sense of an Ending (2017) with Charlotte Rampling, Emily Mortimer and Michelle Dockery. Now that he’s linked to one of the biggest celebrities on the planet, there’s no denying we’ll be seeing more of this face in the future—if the romance rumors are true.
