The term resin comes from the English language area and means resin. Epoxy resins are a two-component system consisting of resin and hardener. By mixing the two components, a chemical reaction takes place so that the liquid resin gradually hardens to a solid plastic. The result is a high-gloss, clear surface.
This piece from slay my art is encased within different levels of the translucent material. Each resin art creation is a carefully constructed piece that can take up to three weeks to complete.
The process involves meticulously assembling time-consuming creations, layer by layer, by establishing a base. This process is similar to icing a cake, though it’s hardly a piece of cake to reproduce.
