Are sneaker wedges about to make a comeback?
Jennifer Lopez’s shoe collection for Giuseppe Zanotti is officially here—and the end result is very JLo. The 6-piece capsule includes knee-high gladiators, bedazzled booties and even two pairs of sneaker wedges (can the power of JLo bring them back?).
The collaboration between the shoe designer and singer (appropriately hashtagged #GiuseppexJennifer) marks the duo’s first-ever collaboration, despite JLo being an avid Zanotti shoe fan over the years
With Giuseppe, we created an ultra-modern, feminine collection of killer heels, sexy flats and fashion-forward sneakers. And as you would expect, there’s just the right amount of sparkle,” Lopez said in a statement from the brand.
Each of the six styles comes in a variety of colors and materials from pastels to snakeskin and suede. The most interesting of the collection, however, are the sneaker wedges available in gray and navy suede(embellished with crystals, let’s not forget this is JLo, after all). After the revival of Adidas, Puma and more classics, we’re still at peak-sneaker in fashion right now—does this mean that the trend is about to jump ship to wedges again? Only time (and JLo, it seems) will tell.
