Yesterday, USA Today reported that Vice President Mike Pence used a personal AOL email account for business, “at times discussing sensitive matters and homeland security issues,” while he served as governor of Indiana. The account was even hacked last summer.
A statement from Pence’s team noted that using personal emails is not illegal for public officials in Indiana, but critics were quick to note the Vice President’s hypocrisy, after he routinely condemned Hillary Clinton for using a private server while she was Secretary of State. They took to Twitter to respond.
