🔥 *Maternal deaths are a national emergency — and we’re SLEEPING on it?*

💥 One woman dies every 7 minutes. Not in war. Not in disaster. But trying to bring life into this world.

And where’s the outrage?

Where’s the breaking news?

Where’s the revolution?

Nowhere.

Because Nigeria is broken — and nobody’s fixing it.

Heartbreaking reality: Nigeria is the world’s most dangerous country to give birth, with one woman dying every seven minutes due to preventable causes like postpartum hemorrhage and obstructed labor. According to a recent BBC Africa report, the country accounts for 29% of global maternal deaths—75,000 annually—driven by poor health infrastructure, a shortage of medics, and cultural barriers. 😔
📊 Despite a 13% drop in maternal mortality since 2000 (compared to a global 40%), challenges persist with only 5% of Nigeria’s budget allocated to health—far below the 15% AU target. Initiatives like the Maternal Mortality Reduction Innovation Initiative (Mamii) offer hope, but experts call for sustained funding and investment. 💡
As leaders and professionals, let’s advocate for equitable healthcare access and support innovations that save lives.

👇 Don’t look away.

This isn’t just a statistic.

It’s a **massacre in silence.**

Let’s go.
