The high queens of modelling, Campbell and Moss, returned to the runway in order to pay tribute to Louis Vuitton’s Kim Jones.
It was announced earlier this week that, following a successful seven-year stint as men’s artistic director of the brand, Kim Jones would be stepping down, and that today’s show in Paris would be his last.
Kate Moss, a longtime friend of Jones, came out of modelling retirement for the show. The last show the 44-year-old walked in was back in 2011,when she walked for Louis Vuitton, which was then under the creative direction of Marc Jacobs.
Moss’s good friend Naomi Campbell accompanied her on the runway. Both were sporting matching vinyl LV-monogrammed trench coats and lace-up boots.
Kim Jones took to Instagram following the show to thank both supermodels and also pay tribute to the legacy of his predecessor, Jacobs.
The British models took Jones on a victory lap of the runway that was met with a standing ovation.
Louis Vuitton is yet to reveal Jones’ successor, but they certainly have some big, talented boots to fill.
