Two things: I remember reading a novel that had a character who had suffered a great deal in his life. He told another character about his ordeals, and when he was finished, the listener could only muster one question: “How in the hell did you survive all that?” The answer?
“Breathing in…and out.” This is “survival”.

2. God’s greatest “missionaries” are those who have fallen so far they can no longer look up; those who have lost everything, and have nothing to offer, so that he may demonstrate his power (“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9) ; those who have had their very souls stripped down to the bare, necessary essentials, rather than the fat, bloated bullshit of contemporary success and accomplishment. If you are here, YOU, my friend, are in an unfathomably                 fortuitous situation!

First and foremost you shall not cast blame. Blame is a losers gambit, the route of the insurance fraud or the lottery hopeful or the ambulance chaser. ANY fortune gained is quickly lost, and the “winner” finds themselves in a worse position than before.

When Job lost everything–and I mean, he lost everything!–it wasn’t his righteousness or his goodness that caused God to show up; it was his honesty.

Failure breeds success. The more you fail the more you learn what not to do, what your personal limitations are and how you need to commit totally. Take the failure and run with it.
