Beyoncé and Blue Ivy take mother-daughter dressing to the next level with their beaded, feathered and sequinned VMAs looks, but Kim Kardashian and North West are just as fashion formidable with matching sequinned Vetements. They might both be the queens of twinning with your offspring, but which duo comes out on top? You decide…
The matching Jacket moment Beyoncé and Blue kept things low-key in butterfly denim jackets (Gucci, of course) with printed tops underneath. For Kim, it’s all about the leather jacket, usually printed with her own face. North did oversized flame-print sleeves for this edgy look, but we loved her fringed leather number too.
So white, so pure… so hard to keep clean. The entire Kimye family (sans Saint West) took their all-white looks to church, while Beyoncé and Blue Ivy dressed up for Solange’s wedding (props for the matching headgear).
Red Carpet Ready
Beyoncé and Blue Ivy nearly broke the internet with their 2016 VMAs outfits. Wearing Francesco Scognamiglio, Bey had feathered angel wings around her neck, while Blue did tulle, sequins and high-tops. Kim upped the ante after those Yeezy looks by turning up to Kanye’s New York concert in identical silver Vetements dresses. Aren’t you loving North’s Vans?
The Halloween Edition
Hands up who loves a group Halloween costume? Kimye did fashion favourites with Kim as Anna Wintour and North as Andre Leon Talley, the Carters took on Coming To America, Blue going as a teeny version of her mum’s character, Queen Aoleon of Zamunda. Not exactly #twinning, but pretty close.
The Signature Style
When it comes to neutrals, nobody does it like the Kardashians. They’re basically much the reason caramel-toned co-ords are all over your Instagram feed, so it makes sense that Kim and North have this flesh-toned, Yeezy look down. As for Bey and Blue’s signature style? It’s GOT to be that Gucci moment in Paris; quirky, cute, and totally unexpected – that’s Beyoncé!
So who came out on top for you?
