Appearing on Thursday’s Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kim Kardashian holds nothing back on the topic of Caitlyn Jenner. Specifically, Kim is not happy with Caitlyn’s new memoir, The Secrets of My Life, which was released Tuesday. “My heart breaks for my mom,” Kim says on Ellen, referring to what Caitlyn wrote about Kris in the book. “I don’t think it’s necessary. I just feel like it’s unfair, things aren’t truthful.” Kim also says that Caitlyn is not being honest about “certain things” about Kris in the book.

As previously revealed, Caitlyn gets into great detail about how Kris allegedly had total control over Caitlyn’s finances when they were married. Caitlyn also writes about how she might have been the one to come up with the whole concept for Keeping Up With the Kardashians, not Kris. “It’s taken her a really long time to be honest with herself so I don’t expect her to be honest about my mom now,” Kim tells Ellen DeGeneres. “But it’s just so hurtful. I wish her all the success in the world, but not at our expense.”

As for Kim’s current relationship with Caitlyn, there isn’t much of one. Though, Kim says, Caitlyn will always have a place in her life. “I’ll always love her. That was my stepdad for so many years,” Kim says. “She taught me about character and so much growing up and I just feel like I don’t respect the character that she’s showing now.”

Kim’s appearance on Ellen marked her first major TV interview since her Paris robbery last October.
