Why Life Needs a ‘Preview’ Button: Mastering the Human Equation
Warning: This is a no BS zone. If you don’t fancy hearing it like it is, hit the eject button now.
Ever watched a movie trailer? Of course, you have. You know the feeling of anticipation that a well-made preview creates? A glimpse into the storyline, a peek at the characters, a teaser that sets your pulse racing? Now, imagine if we had such a feature in our lives, for every person we met: a mini “preview”. How much simpler would navigating human intricacies be?
When I say, “I wish some people came with a preview,” I’m not joking. I am an entrepreneur, a world champion, a woman in constant interaction with hundreds of people striving to find their place in the world, and believe me, a preview would save me and you a great deal of heartache.
“But that’s impossible, Queen!” you say. Want to bet? You can develop your preview finding system. And no, the secret doesn’t lie in crystal balls or fortune tellers. The trick resides in the power of observation, intuition and deduction.
1. Observation – Your Eyes Are Your Best Weapon
Look closely. What does their demeanor say about them? Are they confident or hesitant? Examine their habits, their interests, their values. These act as ‘preview’ indicators of whether they’d excel or sink in certain situations.
But don’t stop with what’s available on the surface. You’re not looking for a best actor nominee; you’re seeking authentic individuals.
2. Intuition – Trust Your Gut
Your intuition is like an internal compass. When something feels off, it probably is. We’ve all felt that unease, that quiet voice telling us that something’s not right. Trust that feeling. Your intuition is a product of subconscious observations, an inbuilt ‘preview’ system you can tap into.
3. Deduction – Connecting the Dots
Consider the observed facts and align them with your intuition. This is where you form hypotheses about the person. Think like a chess player – anticipate their moves based on your insights.
A word of caution – this isn’t license to judge someone ahead of time. We’re all capable of changing our narratives. But having a heads-up allows one to respond effectively, to adapt strategies, and to conserve valuable energy pouring into dead-end interactions.
In a world shrouded with facades, navigating human relationships can feel like walking blindfolded through a minefield. However, with observation, intuition, and deduction, you can activate your ‘preview’ button, ensuring you’re not blindsided and keep progressing on your path to success.
Remember – life’s too short to be caught in the wrong movie. Stay sharp. Stay aware. “Preview” the world around you, and let that command your steps. The script is in your hands. Now go craft your blockbuster.
Cheers ’til next time,
