They have been told that their family, and their friends are their perfect prospects.
When you are first starting out in your business that might bring you a couple of sales.
Because generally your family and friends are not your perfect prospects, they are not looking for an opportunity. They are just supporting you to be friendly.
You want to find more people who have the get up and go, who have what it takes to build a business and stick with it for the long haul.
You want to be speaking to those people who are actually actively looking for your products and opportunity.
Telling your friends and family will work for a little while in the beginning but it is not a good long term process.
WHO IS YOUR PERFECT PROSPECT
The first thing you need to think about and understand is who is your perfect prospect.
Who is that person who is looking for your product or opportunity.
Just remember that not everyone is looking for your product or opportunity.
You need to drive deep and understand exactly who your perfect prospect is: how old are they, what is their pain point, what do they enjoy, do they have a family. All these things will help you understand your perfect prospect.
When you are putting your message out there you want to put it out there for that one specific person, not a whole bunch of people.
WHERE CAN YOU FIND THEM
Once you understand who your perfect prospect is, you will know who they are following.
You will know what groups they are going to. You will know what solution they are looking for.
So whatever your product is, find the groups that are centered around that. You can do a google search.
That’s where they are hanging out. That’s where they are looking for a solution.
BUILD THE RELATIONSHIP
Now you don’t want to just join those groups and start prospecting those people.
Don’t go in dropping links everywhere. Don’t tell them how amazing your products are.
The point is to connect with these people and bring them into your ecosystem, so they can get to know you.
You want to provide valuable and relatable content to them.
You want to build a relationship with them, you want to build the know, like, and trust.
