Love where life takes you. Wherever you find yourself, look for the good and the beauty, and be thankful when you find it. Style Peterson has been privileged not only to spend a good portion of his life in New York City, but also, some years exploring the Southwestern United States. He has loved it all. He acquired a love for photography during a three month cross-country drive from New York to California nearly two decades ago. Since then, He has used a camera to capture the beauty that is often taken for granted around us.

StylePeterson.com features the fine art photography of Don Peterson. He has sampled rugged western ghost towns, majestic red rock vistas, snow-capped mountains, delicate spring cherry blossoms, and so much more. He has learned to love green chili and to avoid cholla cactus. He has stared coyotes in the face and gingerly avoided rattlers. Share his journey as He shares beautiful photographic memories that you may enjoy making a part of your life as well.

Classic Chevrolet Fleetline Aerosedan

This classic Chevrolet Fleetline Aerosedan was seen at the Old Route 66 Car Show in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I think this is a 1949 model. This vintage 2-door roadster is popular with lowrider enthusiasts for its curvy lines and rakish roofline. The exterior sports smooth curves, chrome and stainless trim. Front and rear bumpers have optional chrome “tips”, a dress-up item that bolted to the ends of the stock bumper. Not a Chevrolet option but a popular after market feature was a large external sunshade that protected the driver from glare off of the metal dash board. The 1949 to 1952 models were completely different than the earlier years with the fleetline “fastback” shape being quite distinct than a normal sedan shape. This photo was converted using a filter in Luminar for Windows, an excellent software for generating fast photo special-effects similar to Instagram filters. Camera: Pentax K-x and Tokina SD 28-70mm F:3.5-4.5 lens. This manual focusing vintage lens, purchased used on eBay for $10.00 is my my favorite short zoom lens. This “Chevrolet Fleetline Aerosedan” photo is available as a free high-resolution download suitable for printing and framing (for personal use only). Camera: Pentax K-x and Tokina RMC 35-135mm F:4-4.5 lens. This vintage lens, purchased used on eBay for $5.00 is my favorite lens for automotive photography. Albuquerque Lowrider

This Albuquerque lowrider was photographed at the Old Route 66 Car Show held in Nob Hill, Albuquerque. I love its personality and stance so I decided to do a bit of editing in Photoshop to create a bit of art with it. What do you think? You can see the original photo of this car here.
