PRESTIGIOUS VILLA WITH DIRECT ACCESS TO THE SEA.
History and style
Built in 1966 by the engineer Inverardi in the Mediterranean style, the villa is located in the heart of the Trabocchi Coast. The property’s real strength is the direct sea access that naturally continues on from the garden, letting you enjoy almost exclusive use of one of the most beautiful beaches on the coast.
Finished according to the “arte povera” artistic movement, it retains many of the original materials used in the construction: the solid wood doors, the exposed beams from a small church in L’Aquila that was abandoned in the 1960s, and the mixed terracotta and parquet floors are only a fraction of what you can admire when walking through the property.
The mix of original materials with the quality materials used in the renovation creates a harmonious coexistence of new and vintage, bringing all the benefits of technology to the Mediterranean style of this fantastic villa.
Location
The villa stands on a hilly terrain that ends on the beach of Contrada Vignola, one of the most picturesque places on the Trabocchi Coast (proposed as a UNESCO site in 2015). A few metres from it we find the “Bike to coast” cycle path: 131 km on the Adriatic coast, with sights like the “Punta Aderci” Regional Nature Reserve and the “Lecceta di Torino di Sangro” Regional Nature Reserve, which won the “Italian Green Road Award” in 2020.
2 hours from the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park (UNESCO site since 2017). Most of the forest areas can be visited on paths along springs, grassy fields, rocky ravines and steep paths; events, themed walks, snacks in the shelters, and visits on horseback or by e-bike are often organised.
As well as the ancient beech woods, you can also get up close to highly interesting fauna: among other things, the forests are home to the Marsican brown bear, wolves, and the very rare wild cat.
Nearby, you can devote your time to winter sports in the largest ski area in central-southern Italy, on skiable trails with a sea view.
Structure
The property, with an interior of 800 m², is spread over staggered floors that give it distinctive architectural features, both when seen from the outside and when moving inside between the various rooms.
There are countless outdoor spaces surrounding the house (2500 m²) which offer a spectacular view of the coast from every room. The garden is also beautiful, with olive and orange trees that make the path to the sea unique.
The living area is equipped with a professional kitchen and a highly distinctive bar corner.
The sitting room with fireplace is perfect for spending winter evenings in the company of a nice glass of wine, while the large living-cum-dining room has direct access to the terraces overlooking the sea.
Entering the sleeping area, we find 7 bedrooms, all equipped with private en suite bathrooms.
The cooling and heating work via a centralised system that spreads the air through all the rooms, where the temperature can be separately adjusted to your liking.
The electrical system, room lights and alarm system are controlled via a touch screen panel on each floor or directly from your smartphone.
