If you are looking for a mouth watering melt in your mouth, hot on fire gastronomy experience look no further than the Slay black eyed beans recipe.

This yummy recipe is all you need to become a sought after missus.


2.5 cups of black eyed beans
Rice vinegar
Sesame oil
Fish oil
Almond oil
Palm oil
Green scent leaves
Fresh Tomatoes
Tomato puree
Sweet Red pepper x 2-3
Vegetable oil
Peri peri salt
Meat stock such as maggi
Hot pepper(Cameroon pepper highly recommended)
Cray fish

For the Red sauce
Blend tomatoes, 1-3 onions, garlic, thyme, sweet red pepper
Boil fresh tomatoes in a pot for approximately 1.5 hrs)
Add salt, pepper and meat stock to taste
Fry the 2-4 spoons of tomato purée, onions and garlic in a separate frying pan
Mix the mixture into the boiled tomatoes.

For the beans

Boil for approximately 2.5 – 3 hrs (if you like your beans less mushy go for 2.5)
You should put in water to just about cover the beans.
Add Peri peri salt and 2 cubes of meat stock (use maggi for best results)
After boiling sieve any way excess water out
You want it as dry as possible
On extremely high heat fry in palm oil the beans and 4-5 spoons of garlic
Mix up some honey about 2 big spoons garlic, rice vinegar 1 tsp, soy sauce 1/4 cup, 1 tsp sesame oil and almond oil, paprika
Add in a few spoons of the mixture to your beans pot.
Add more paprika
Add in 6-8 spoons of cray fish
Add in 4-5 spoons of the red sauce.
You are done

Preheat oven
Place your finished mix in a casserole bowl
Garnish with the green leaves and parsley
Add two spoons of butter on top and drizzle a bit of sesame oil for extra flavour
Bake for 5-10 minutes
